PURPOSE:To easily perform a test, and to easily grasp the cause when a mulfunction has occurred, by making the stop operation for a driven shaft prescribed position independent from a numerical control operation and a mechanical operation, and executing a confirmation test of the stop operation for a main shaft prescribed position, in a numerical control machine tool. CONSTITUTION:A test switch TSW and a short bar SB of an orientation testing circuit 201 are provided. A stop controlling circuit for a main shaft prescribed position is set to a test mode by short-circuiting shunt pins SP1, SP2 on a printed substrate by this base SB. Also, when the switch TSW is depressed, the main shaft continues it rotation at a prescribed speed, and when the depression is released, the orientation operation is executed. When the main shaft reaches the prescribed position, LEDORD emits light, and completion of the orientation is displayed. Since the bar SB is present, however, a transistor TR is not turned on, and this completion signal ORDEN is not sent out to a numerical control machine NC, etc.
