Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a continuous display picture which is excellent in a directivity, by utilizing a deviation of a reception signal frequency resulting from a Doppler shift due to continuous revolution of a directivity. CONSTITUTION:A signal, which composes an output generated by a group of oscillators arranged at a side of an oscillating drum A, is amplified by an amplification circuit B, and a given output at each point of time is switched and selected in order at a switch circuit C in synchronism with the revolution of an assignment direction to be inputted to a weight circuit D. The given output of the weight circuit D is inputted to a phase circuit E for correcting a phase difference of an incoming reflection wave. After it is then added to an addition circuit F, a signal for obtaining a continuous display picture, in which a signal at a side probe area is sufficiently suppressed and which is sufficiently suppressed and excellent in a directivity, is extracted from a composite signal by a beam-forming filter circuit R. A corresponding azimuth position is indicated in an indicator M corresponding to the strength of the output signal of the filter circuit R.
