Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the insulation between both resistors connected in parallel with the second series field coil at power driving and braking times by constructing the resistors always in a capability of connecting.
CONSTITUTION: Contactors 10W13 are connected at the P side at the power driving time, and there are two systems of connecting through the first series field coil 5, second series field coil 7 and resistor 8 to a DC power source and of connecting through the first series field coil 5 and chopper 2 thereto. At the braking time, contactors 10W13 are connected at the B side, and a resistor 9 is connected in parallel with the resistor 8 through the B side of the contactor 13, earth, the B side of the contactor 11. On the other hand, the chopper 2 is connected through the B side of the contactor 12 to the connecting points of the resistors 8, 9. Thus, the resistors 8, 9 are always connected, and are at the same potential in either mode. Accordingly, it can eliminate the insulation between the resistors 8 and 9.
