Abstract
PURPOSE: To connect a standed cable freely from anxiety of declining a grip force, by pressure fitting a steel sleeve to steel cores of titled cables in order to connect them, by applying an aluminum collar and then an aluminum sleeve to the diameter contacted part of terminal end of the aluminum strands layer, and by compressing the aluminum sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: The tubular aluminum strands 1 are stepwise hulled from the terminal ends of cables 10, 10, to be connecected, and steel cores 2, 2, are bared; these steel cores 2, 2, are connected by pressure fitting a steel sleeve 20, first of all. Hereupon, the aluminum sleeve 40 is previously fitted into one cables 10, 10. This aluminum sleebe 40 may be prepared in a box shape provided with a removable cover. Next, terminal ends 11, 11, of cables 10, 10, are stangulated by the die, are contracted in diameter, and are compacted. After strangulating a specified length of teminal ends 11, 11, an aluminum collar 30 in two halves for example, provided with the edge of trumpet type opening 31 fittable to the outer shape of the terminal end 11 is applied to the terminal ends 11, 11. After covering this aluminum collar 30 with the aluminum sleeve 40, two are compressed to finish the connection.
