Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an energy-saving cooler for the oil-immersed electric device by forcibly circulating oil in the device in the cooler, providing an upper stationary air duct containing internally a fan at the upper part and a lower air duct containing an opening for intaking the air and a straightening plate at the lower part. CONSTITUTION:High voltage insulating oil in the oil-immersed electric device is forcibly circulated in the cooler 1 using an oil pump 2, air is blown to the cooler 1, and the insulating oil is cooled. In this structure the cooler 1 is supported with a trestle 6, and the lower air duct 7 having the opening 7a around the trestle 6 under the cooler 1 and a frustoconical straightening plate 8 at the inside bottom surface is formed. The upper aie duct 9 having a chimney shape and the fan 10 at the upper air outlet reduced in bore thereof is provided above the cooler 1. When a wind blows, the air introduced from the opening 7a of the duct 7 is turned by the plate 8 toward the cooler 1, and when no wind blows, the fan 10 in the duct 9 is operated, thereby efficiently dissipating the heat of the cooler 1.
