Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a retard roll from partial abrasion and achieve the smooth paper sending by a method wherein the retard roll is contacted with the part of a belt which has a low coeficient of friction while the paper is not sent.
CONSTITUTION: The paper feeding belt 1 is provided on the surface thereof with paper feeding parts 1a made of natural rubber or the like having a large coefficient of friction and the parts 1b having the low coefficient of friction alternately and is driven intermittently. The retard roll 7 is rotated into a direction reverse to the moving direction of the paper feeding belt. Paper 6 is sent out by the paper feeding part 1a at every half round of the paper feeding belt and is sent into a predetermined section through a transport roll 8, on the other hand, the double sending thereof is prevented by a roll 7. The roll 7 is contacted with the part 1b in order to prevent the partial abrasion thereof while the paper is not fed and the smooth paper sending may be achieved.
