Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure dimensions of a complicated form simply with a high precision, by fitting a dial gauge to the adjustable supporting cylindrical material.
CONSTITUTION: Internal cylinder part 1 with the tip bent is fitted into external cylinder part 2 slidably to form supporting cylindrical material 3, and dial gauge 5 is fitted to the tip of internal cylinder part 1 removably by clamp screw 4, and contact material 8 having terminal 7 is fitted to the lower end of external cylinder part 2 removably by clamp jig 6. Supporting cylindrical material 3 is expanded or contracted through fixing jig 11 so that terminal 7 and displacer 9 are brought into contact with both side faces of block 12 which is obtained by piling unit blocks of a high-precision prescribed thickness and has the dimension value approximating the dimension value to be measured, and dial guage 5 is so set that the position of displacer 9 at this time becomes the reference point. Then, terminal 7 and displacer 9 are brought into contact with positions to be measured, and the displacement quantity which appears in dial gauge 5 at this time is subjected to addition or substraction into the set value of block 12. As a result, the dimension value of positions to be measured is read with a high precision.
