Abstract

PURPOSE:To energize a solid laser substance by a method wherein the focusing lines of two parabolic reflection mirrors are arranged in parallel on a common axis, a solid laser substance is placed on one of the focusing lines and an aperture type light incoming window from the light source is arranged on the other focusing line with being faced to an apex line of the reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION:Light emitter from the aperture type light source is reflected by an inner reflection surface 2 of a transparent glass tube 1 and taken out from a slitlike window 3. When the slit window 3 is placed on the focusing line F of the parabolic reflection mirror 4, a parallel light beam can be made by the reflection mirror 4. When a solid laser substance 5 is placed on the focusing line F' of the other parabolic reflection mirror 4' having an axial surface, all the parallel light beams are focused on the laser substance 5, semicylindrical reflection mirror 6 is arranged so as to cover the laser substance and an energizing light permeability through the laser substance is focussed again on the laser substance. With this arrangement, the assembly is advantageously in particular for its air cooling to prevent a raised temperature of the solid laser substance, a window width is made to be narrow and an energization of the laser substance can be performed without decreasing an efficiency of light emitting operation.
