Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the grain size distribution of an emulsion optimum by adjusting the stirring capacities of rolling mill oil stirrers at the time of recovering the rolling mill oil from rolling mills and circulatively using the same. CONSTITUTION:A rolling mill oil is supplied in an emulsion state to rolling rolls 5 which roll a rolling material 4. After the use, it is recovered into a receiving tank through a return pipe 4. The oil is stirred by the stirrers 3 therein, and is then sent by a low-pressure pump 8 to a filter 6 where it is filtered. The filtered oil is sent into the supply tank and is again emulsified by the stirrers 3. Next, the oil is fed to a supply line 11 by a high-pressure spray pump and is subjected to final stirring with a stirrer 7, thence it is supplied to the rolls 5. Here, the revolutions of the stirrers 3, 7 are made controllable or changeable with a stepless speed change device.
