Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify a calibrating circuit by using two sets of comparators simultaneously, and shifting the inputting time of strobe while referring to the output values thereof, at the time of calibrating a comparator having two comparators.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of calibrating the strobe input time of a comparator connected with two comparators CA, CB in parallel, the voltage slightly higher than the input signal voltage VC of a reference time tref is applied as comparing voltage VA to the comparator CA and the voltage slightly lower than VC is applied as comparing voltage VB to the comparing CB. The strobe STB is inputted to the comarators CA, CB and the outputs thereof are observed. The time when the reference time and the strobe input time coincide is discriminated from that said values lose the coincidence. Hence, there is no more need for storing the comparator outputs before the strobe movement and the circuit is made simple.
