Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive a less labor and higher safety for roll loading work by rotating upper and lower arms in the work once the part to be joined is moved backward in turning the upper arm.

CONSTITUTION: A chuck device 14 pinches a paper tube of a roll at the end rim in such a manner that the roll is being raised with a lifter. The front rim of the lower roll 31 thus grasped is fed to a suspended loop section as illustrated by W via a combination part 20 and an unused roll is loaded to an upper arm 11 before the web on the lower roll 31 runs out. On the other hand, a chuck device 13 pinches a paper tube of an unused roll at both ends in such a manner that the roll is being raised with a lifter and then, the roll 32 is lifted up to the position 32 with a motor 17. Meanwhile, with the part to be joined turned back to the position 20 from 20a, the front rim of the upper roll 32 is fed to the combination section 20. Then, the front rim of the upper roll 32 is joined to the rear rim of the lower roll 31 immediately before the web of the lower roll 31 runs out.
