Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the strength of flocks and to facilitate the dehydration of sludge, by adding an organic high-molecular coagulant to a sludge at an excessive rate to neutralize an electric charge of solids in the sludge, and adding an organic high-molecular coagulant with an opposite charge at a rate to neutralize an electric charge of the excessive former coagulant.
CONSTITUTION: To a sludge is added a cationic organic high-molecular coagulant at an excessive rate to neutralize an electric charge of solids in the sludge, and then with an anionic organic high-molecular coagulant at a rate to neutrlize an electric charge of the excessive cationic coagulant.
