Abstract

PURPOSE:To filter a high conc. and high viscous liquid automatically by a method wherein a cylindrical filter element having a slit like mesh and a longitudinal notch is enclosed at a center in the filter machine in a freely reversible manner and a slit disc unit having a slit disc whose leading end is inserted into said mesh assembled therein is fixed to filter cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When the filter element A is rotated to a counterclockwise direction, impurities filled in the slit mesh 22 are scraped off by the slit disc 31 and the filter surface of the slit mesh 22 is regenerated. When the rotation of the filter element A is moreover promoted, a liquid stagnated around a blind plate 24 is removed to a drain chamber 2 by backwashing and yarn like dirts at a leading end of one side of the slit disc 31 are removed by said backwashing. At the same time, the filter element A is rotated to a clockwise direction by a reverse driving mechanism 12 and the filter surface is regenerated while filter work is carried out.
