PURPOSE:To prevent a car's inside space from noise to be conducted from the transmission mechanism born by a cross member bridged over the two sides of the floor tunnel by fastening rigidly coupling members transversely over the floor tunnel. CONSTITUTION:Vibrations of the engine conducted to the transmission 2 and high frequency components of vibrations of the transmission itself 2 are absorbed by a mount insulator 5 between the transmission 2 and cross member 6, and a mount insulator 7 between the cross member 6 and car body 3. A noise likely to generate when the side walls of the floor tunnel 4 deflect actuated by low frequency vibrations is prevented because the coupling member 13 has increased the rigidity of car body around floor tunnel 4. Thus, the inside space of the car can be prevented from irritating noises likely to be conducted from the transmission.
