Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily form hardware provided with a sloped waveform circumferential wall by drawing a metal plate which is a blank material by means of a male die which is formed with waveform on the outside circumferential surface and a female die which fist externally to this waveform and rotates.
CONSTITUTION: A press machine is constituted of a male die 2 erected on a bottom plate 1, a lower die 3 externally fitting to the lower end part thereof, and an upper die 4 which fits externally to the upper part of the male die 2 and is provided with a female die 15. With the upper die 4 and lower die 3 held isolated, a disc-shaped metal blank A is placed on the male die 2, and a pressure die 20 and the upper die 4 are lowered to press the center of the metal plate A to the male die 2. At the same time, the circumference is pressed down by the female die 15, whereby the plate is drawn. The circumference of the metal plate A is drawn along the outside circumference of the male die 2 by the inside circumferential surface of the female die 15 and the waveform 17 of the inside circumferential surface of the female die 15 fits to the waveform 5 of the outside circumferential surface of the male die by way of the metal plate A; hence, the metal plate deforms to the shape of the waveforms 5, 17. At the down stroke end point of the female die 15, the circumferential edge of the metal plate A superposes on the movable disc 7 in the lower die 3 and bends outward, thereby forming a flange part.
