Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a casting having a hollow part, by manufacturing a core by using ametallic net gauze which has m.p. higher than the casting temp. and has meshes through which no molten metal oozes out, and by leaving the core as it is after the casting, so as to make the removal of the core unnecessary.
CONSTITUTION: In the manufacture of a casting 8 having hollow part 7 using a core 1, the core 1 is made by using metallic net gauze having m.p. higher than the casting temp. and having meshes as small as ≤28 meshes which prevent the molten metal from oozing out. After casting, hollow part 7, which has said core 1 as it is, is obtained. Hereby cast articles having hollow part 7 is manufactured easily without generating gas and without removal of the core unlike conventional method.
