Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable plural originals to be accurately copied continuously to different numbers of sheets by superposing the originals of the same number of copying sheets to a unit copying original group, and successively placing these via segmenting plates.
CONSTITUTION: If it is desired to copy 5 sheets of originals A1WA5 consequentively to, for example, 5 sheets, 3 sheets, 5 sheets, 3 sheets and 1 sheet, first the originals A1 and A3 of 5-sheet copying are superposed and are placed as an original group B1 on the top surface 1a of the apparatus body, and the 1st segmenting plate 21 is superposed thereon. The originals A2 and A4 of 3-sheet copying which are superposed as an original B2 are placed thereon, and the 2nd segmenting plate 22 is superposed thereon. Further, the original A5 and the 3rd segmenting plate 23 are superposed thereon. The copying modes are then stored in the copying machine and a print button is turned on, by which first the 1st original A1 is conveyed onto a platen 13. Upon completion of its exposure, the 1st original A1 is discharged to the paper discharge tray, and the 3rd original A3 is conveyed onto the platen 13, thus copying of desired numbers of sheets is accomplished successively.
