Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily measure the eccentric rates of a lens to be examined without requiring any intricate calculation by disposing a light source, a chart, an observation system etc. to the front of the lens to be examined, and disposing a reflection mirror having a spherical surface behind said lens.
CONSTITUTION: A half mirror 4 provided in front of a lens 5 to be examined constitutes an observation system together with a screen 7 and the operator places his pupil on the screen 7 and observes the lens. A reflection mirror 6 disposed behind the lesn 5 is constituted of a kind of concave mirror, and has a reflection curved surface 6a and a plane part 6b. If the optical axes of all the lenses constituting the lens 5 are correctly aligned to the transmitted light axis 0-0, the center of the chart light image is in alignment to the center C of curvature.
