Abstract

PURPOSE: To smooth the motion of contact and disconnection of the current collector and trolley wire by a method wherein a stand supporting a pivoted spring on a stand frame is made movable along the sliding surface of the stand frame, and a driving mechanism for moving the supporting stand is installed.
CONSTITUTION: When folding a current collector, a screw bar 23 is made to turn by driving a driving machine 25 and a supporting stand 24 is moved in such a direction that the spring force of the main spring 27 is cancelled to separated a collector shoe 7 from a trolley wire 8, and then the movement of the supporting stand 24 is stopped after it has touched the stopper of bearings 21 in order to complete the process of folding up the current collector. In addition, to recover a state in which the collector can collect current, the driving machine 25 is driven in an opposite direction, while the supporting stand 24 is moved in such a direction that the spring force of the main spring 27 is increased up to the stopper position of bearings 22. By so doing, it is possible to smooth the motion of bringing the collector shoe into contact with the trolley wire and separating the former from the latter.
