Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Guides 4 provided on the peripheral surfaces at the side face hole 1a in the axial direction of a holder body 1 through which a honing stone unit is to be projected and at an opposite side face hole 6a are formed by electrically adhering diamond grains 5 in the state buried in a plated nickel layer 7 formed by the electrodeposition of nickel. By so doing, regeneration of the guide parts 4 by applying electrodeposition again becomes possible when they are worn, and since there is no such problem as abrasion in the conventional chromium plating or thermal distortion by the soldering of hard metal chips, the life of the holder can be increased.
