Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the developability, pressure fixability, impact resistance, endurance, etc. of a pressure fixing toner by adding a polyolefin having a hydrogen to carbon atomic number ratio of a specified value or more to the toner.
CONSTITUTION: The desired pressure fixing toner is obtd. by adding a polyolefin such as polyethylene having a hydrogen to carbon atomic number ratio of ≥1.95 obtd. by an elementary analysis. The polyethylene is obtd. as follows: high density polyethylene with high crystallinity is first manufactured by a low pressur method or other method, and it is thermally decomposed at about 250W450°C for about 5minW3hr in the presence of hydrogen.
