Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a light-weight, low cost and highly insulative holding mold by manufacturing a holding mold using a foamed insulative material.
CONSTITUTION: An upper half mold 3 and a lower half mold 4 are manufactured using a foamed insulative material such as foamed urethane. The upper half mold 3 and the lower half mold 4 are used put together as ones holding, for instance, the door 5 of a refrigerator when a foaming process takes place. For the above reason, compared with a conventional metallic or an ordinary synthetic manufacturing mold, this mold is lighter in weight and easier to handle and, therefore, is helpful for a significant improvement of productivity. Material and manufacturing costs are low and also the cost involved in related equipment can be out sharply.
