Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove sticking material by general chemicals except a drestic one without using boiling water, by washing and removing the sticking material in a drain pipe in kitchens or industrial waste water distributing pipe systems by using percarbonate and sulfite.
CONSTITUTION: Percarbonate and pyrosulfite are mixed at a random ratio and supplied into distributing pipes, which are washed by injecting an adequate amount of normal-temperature water. The mixing ratio between percarbonate and pyrosulfite is adequately determined depending upon the dirtiness, clogging state and a period of distributing pipes to be washed and the concentration of a washing liquid when water is added is also decided according to conditions of said distributing pipes. Because of the addition of the water, these chemicals generates heat through neutralization, oxidation and reduction reaction to elevate the washing liquid temperature rise, and consequently the sticking material in the pipe is softened, dissolved and peeled off from the pipe by foams of percarbonate. As the liquid temperature rises, the decomposition of the percarbonate is accelerated and the foam generation is activated lastingly, so that the washing is carried out more perfectly by their synergism.
