Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce torque ripples and to eliminate the dead point of the torque by shfiting the peak point of the field flux from the center of a pole, and driving a plurality of stator windings by two-phase waves. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 1 can be freely rotated in a stator frame 11 via bearings 10. The shaft 1 is installed to a rotor field magnet 8 formed by a permanent magnet via a deformed ring 7 acomrising a soft magnetic material. While a stator 6 is formed with the soft magnetic material. One slot is formed for one pole. The width m1 of the teeth of the stator 6 is shorter than the pole pitch so as to obtain the specified short-pitch factor for the stator windings 2-5. The path of the magnetic flux in the section between the pitches tau1-tau0 in the rotor field magnet 8 is thin, and becomes thicker toward tau2 in the other section between tau2-tau1. Therefore, the deformed ring 7 is formed by cutting a circular cylinder having a radius m3 in the axial direction as shown by the length of a chord m2. Thus, the dead point of the torque can be eliminated.
