Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the operation of a calling subscriber and the route setting operation of a switching unit by processing an extension transfer signal that a caller sends by providing a method of discriminating it after an incoming call to an extension via a repeating line ends. CONSTITUTION:While extension EXT1 of converting station SW1 selets extension EXT2 of exchange SW2 and makes a telephone call, central processing system CP2 of SW2 exercises supervision over the on-hook state through on-hook release control part OH. When EXT2 has the handset on the hook, control part OH detects that and actuate extension transfer control part SC. If calling subscriber EXT1 is to make the continuous telephone call with extension EXT3 of SW2, EXT1 performs the prescribed hooking operation to generate an extension transfer signal. Control part SC receives it to release path 1 of extension EXT2, set path 3 extending to register trunk ORT, and actuates the dial number receiving function to send a reception set-up completion signal tone from ORT back to EXT1. Then, EXT1, listening it, dials only the extension number of EXT3, so that a new call with EXT3 will be started.
