Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid the damage of a slider part and a surface of a disk magnetic coated film, by using the nonmagnetic ceramics impregnated with the lubricant for the slider part.
CONSTITUTION: The bottom surface of the slider part 1 becomes virtually parallel to the surface of the magnetic disk 3 when the disk 3 stops or is rotating in a low speed. In such posture, the part 1 lands onto the disk 3, and the lubricant 1a covering over the bottom surface of the part 1 touches the surface of the disk 3. Thus the disk 3 and the part 1 are protected. The disk 3 floats up largely during a high- speed rotation with a small extent of float-up given to rear edge side where the core part 2 exists. In such posture, the magnetic head floats up. Under these conditions, the gap between the part 2 and the disk 3 becomes minimum with no existence of the lubricant. Thus the magnetic connection is improved.
