Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the optimum setting of the distortion of sound record according to the type of the tape or the compensation of the optimum high-range frequency, by providing a switching circuit to the sound record equalizer circuit of a micro tape recorder.
CONSTITUTION: The change-over switch S1 of the sound record equalizer gives a short circuit to the resistance R1 with a connection given between the common terminal (c) and the contact terminal (a) in case a tape having a high resistance to magnetism is used for the magnetic tape, and thus the record current is increased for the record input signal source 1. The resistance R2 functions as the damping resistance of the capacitor CA and at the same time contributes to the constant current of the source 1. For the compensation of a high-range frequency of the record equalizer, the resonance is secured in 7kHzW9kHz and at the resonance point fa0 obtained by the inductance L between the capacitor CA and the recording head 3. Thus the loss of the recording is compensated to increase the extension of the high range for the high-range frequency properties of the vapor-deposited tape. In such way, the high-range frequency can be compensated with a reduction of the recording distortion down to a minimum level in accordance with the type of the tape.
