Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove a constant amount of the fin rapidly by a method wherein a rotating funnel-shaped guide surface is pushed against the edge of the outer periphery of a work and a projecting dimension of a cutter projected from the guide surface is regulated. CONSTITUTION:A rotary cutter holding body 1 is secured to a proper rotary shaft 9 and the cutter 6 is secured by bolts 8. When the funnel-shaped guide surface 11 of a guide body 2 is pushed against the edge of the outer periphery of the work 10 under rotating condition, a spring 7 pushing the guide body 2 is compressed and the cutter 6 is appeared from a slit 14 of the funnel-shaped guide body 2 along the guide surface 11 thereby removing the fin on the outer periphery of the work. Then dimension of the projection of the cutter 6 may be regulated by a contact position of a stopping surface 13.
