Abstract
PURPOSE: To stably recognize the light pen indicating position, by making one field be concerned in writing a data, and making the other field keep the whole picture at a constant brightness, of two consecutive fields at the time of operating the light pen.
CONSTITUTION: In the video display picture for displaying a pattern based on the data which has been written in the digital memory 17 in accordance with an output signal of the light pen 19, while a data is written by use of the light pen 19, one field of two consecutive fields is made to keep the whole video display picture such as the CRT picture, etc. at a constant brightness, and also the other field is made to display a pattern by reading out the contents of the digital memory 17. Since the indicating position of the light pen is detected only in accordance with the former field which has kept the picture at a constant brightness, it can be stabilized without being influenced by a display pattern.
