CONSTITUTION:An ink chamber 1 is equipped with a jet nozzle 2 connected to the chamber, and ink 4 in an ink tank 3 is introduced to the ink chamber 1 and up to the nozzle 2. A piezo-electric element 17 is fixed onto the surface of a vibrator 16, the surface being one facing the interior of the ink chamber 1. A water-resistant film 18 is such as an extremely thin water-resistance film made of silicon, etc. in order to protect the piezo-electric element 17 from the ink 4, make the element waterproof, and avoid a short across the electrode of the piezo-electric element 17. Now the vibrator 16 is allowed to bend to the outside by adding a voltage pulse with the direction of the polarization of the piezo-electric element 17 that is turned to the same direction (forward direction). Therefore, the head has a wide range of application to, for instance, printers, facsimiles, etc. since it can be made highly efficient.
