Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the surface treatment efficiency of a shot blast as well as permit it to efficiently use the space in order to be more compact by arranging shot blast units vertically and providing guide plates for preventing the interference between shots.
CONSTITUTION: Inside a vertically long box 2, a plurality of shot blast units 3 are provided being vertically separated at given distances and opposed to each other interposing a long flat plate-type material 1. Between each pair of shot blast units 3 vertically adjacent to each other, a guide plate 4 for guiding shots is fixed. In addition, on a portion of one side surface of the plate-type material 1 near its end, guide plates 5 are fixed for scraping off the shots and scale attached to the plate-type material 1 and guiding them a shot recovery means 6. Moreover, below the guide plates 5, a guide roll 7 is provided for bending the plate-type material 1 towards the side on which the guide plates 5 are provided and leading it in the almost horizontal direction. Below the guide roll 7, a shot recovery means 8 is provided.
