Abstract
PURPOSE:To almost completely separate cutting oil or the like from chips by allowing magnets to roll the chip while they are moved to a forwarding drum by an endless belt. CONSTITUTION:While being moved to a forwarding drum 10 by an endless belt 4, chips are attracted and repelled alternately by magnets 9 having opposite polarities alternately. Consequently, the chips are repeatedly rolled on the belt 4 as it moves. Thus, the cutting oil or the like attached to the surface of the chips is sufficiently permeated into the belt 4. When the belt 4 reaches and turns around a drive guide roller 1, the chips are attracted by a forwarding magnet 11 in the drum 10 facing to the guide roller 1, and fly to the drum 10. Then the chips are scraped off from the drum 10 by a scraping plate 12, and stored in a box 14 through a shoot 13. On the other hand, the belt 4 having turned around the roller 1 is squeezed by a squeeze roller 15, and the squeezed cutting oil is passed through a hose 18 to use again.
