Abstract
PURPOSE:To conrol the tension distribution of hoop in a furnace at need, by controlling the tension of helper rolls other than standard helper roll copying with the temp. pattern corresponding to the tension pattern in accordance with the actural detected value of the tension of a standard helper roll. CONSTITUTION:A digital unit such as a computor 1 outputs a tension reference value ST and a set value for tension deviation TR in accordance respectively with the speed Sp, the tension Te, the size Si of hoop, and the temp. pattern TP. The reference value ST is given as a constant value to an automatic tension regulator ATR2 and actual deviation is given as measured value AT from a tension detector TM3. Then the ART2 outputs a tension command at that time to an operator 4 in accordance with the reference value ST and the measured value AT. The value TR is given to all multiplying circuits 411-41n which constitute the operator 4 from the computor 1, in that case the set values are given step by step from the circuit 411 corresponding to the helper roll arranged just before the reference roll to the circuit 41n corresponding to the first helper roll in the heating zone.
