Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the separation and removal of deposited solid on a filter cloth by a method wherein one end of a filter cloth is fixed to the rotary cage having filter cloth wrapped on the internal surface above the receiver, and the other end of the filter cloth is fixed to the elevating cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The rotary cage 1 is driven by the motor 6, and solid-containing fluid is supplied from the pipe 5 to the surface of filter cloth 2. The filter cloth 2 is fixed at its upper edge to the elevation pipe 12 and to the outer side of the frame 14; the other edge of the filter cloth is fixed to the lower end of the opening of the rotary cage 1. Liquid component and gas are discharged to the outer surface of the rotary cage by the action of centrifugal force. When the fluid supply is stopped, the gear 8 is driven while continuing the rotation, and the pipes 12 and 5 are lowered, then the inner edge of the filter cloth 2 shown by the solid line is lowered and is pulled out under the rotary cage 1. The action of centrifugal force causes the filter cloth to be inside out as shown by the imaginary line, so that solid deposited inside is exposed and separated by the centrifugal force, which is received by the receiver 3. Thereafter, the pipes 12, 5 are raised to the original position.
