Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain a structure tolerant to external vibration and howling by enabling an arm to float over a player board by exercising position or state control in three motion directions of an arm base.
CONSTITUTION: Arm base 1 is equipped with permanent magnets 10, 11, 20, and 21 and driving coil 12a, permanent magnets 30, 31, 41, and 42 and driving coil 22, and permanent magnets 91, 92, 101, and 102 and driving coil 45 for putting the base in motion in three mutually-orthogonal directions (x), (y) and (z). Then, the position of arm base 1 is detected by lamps 14a, 24, 34a, and 55 through CdS elements 13a, 23, 33a, and 54 and slit plates 15, 25, 35, and 56. Further, the angle between a record disk surface and the stylus tip of pickup cartridge 7d is detected by angle detection part 9, whose output is fed back to the z-directional position control method to keep the angle between the record surface and stylus tip constant.
