Abstract
PURPOSE: To give a satisfactory responsibility of a high power throttle valve by dividing a passage upstream a carbureter's main throttle valve into two and providing a lever for the high power throttle valve so as to regulate its maximum opening.
CONSTITUTION: A passage upstream a main throttle valve 3 of a suction port 2 is divided into a primary passage 5 containing a high power throttle valve 9 and a secondary passage 4 containing a choke valve 8. The high power throttle valve 9 is opened by a diaphragm device 11. A pin 11c secured to a throttle valve lever 10 is coupled with a stopper 40b of a regulation lever 40 while a cam 40a of the regulation lever 40 is coupled with a pin 34 of a main throttle valve lever 32. A quick turn of the high power throttle valve 9, caused by a negative pressure in an intake port which has an effect on a negative pressure chamber 11a in the diaphragm device 11, is regulated by the contact with the stopper 40b.
