Abstract

PURPOSE: A novel aqueous type hydraulic fluid useful for a hydraulic equipment, etc. having improved stability and anticorrosion, slightly causing foams, comprising an amide compound obtained reacting specific alkanolamine with an acid as a lubricant ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of one equivalent ≥12C polybasic acid and 1.1W5mol alkanolamine having an active carbon linked to nitrogen atom, for example, is heated in an N2 gas flow at 160W180°C, to form water which is removed out of the system to give an amide compound. 0.5W5wt% amide compound is added to water to give the desired aqueous type hydraulic fluid. A monoamine, e.g., diethanolamine, etc. is cited as the preferably instance of the amine.
