Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain adsorption pressure constant and draw a product gas of high purity by setting the pressure of the raw material tank for pressure buffering provided on the inlet side of adsorption beds higher than the operating pressure of an overflow valve produced on the outlet side.
CONSTITUTION: The raw material air stored in a raw material tank 2 is supplied to an adsorption bed A where it is selectively adsorbed of nitrogen content. The oxygen component gas is led out from a pipe 7A and flows to an overflow valve 8A. This overflow valve 8A is so adjusted of the pressing force of a spring 105 that it opens when predetermined pressure is reached. The adsorption beds A, B execute adsorption-pressure reduction-gas exhausting-boosting mutually. During this time, the pressure of the raw material tank 2 is so controlled by a pressure regulator 17 that it is held at a pressure higher by arbitrary pressure values between 0.2W 1.2kg/cm2G than the operating pressures of the overflow valves 8A, 8B. Thereby, the stable operation is made possible without causing any fluctuation in the adsorption pressure and the working efficiency is improved.
