Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:1,8-Diisocyanato-4-isocyanatomethyloctane.
USE: A raw material of polyurethane, modifier of various high-molcular compounds, especially a raw material of nonsolvent type polyurethane coating. It is a colorless liquid with good fluidity near room temperature.
PREPARATION: The phosgenation of 1,3,6,-triaminomethylhexane gives 1,8-diiso- cyanato-4-isocyanatomethyloctane. The 1,3,6-triaminomethylhexane, the starting material, is obtained by the hydrogenation of 1,3,6-tricyanohexane, an oligomer of acrylonitrile.
