Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as a sensitizer, agricultural chemical, cationic dye, etc. including a novel compound by a simple method in high yield, by reacting imidoyl chloride with thioamide in a nonpolar organic solvent in the presence of a highly acidic inorganic acid.
CONSTITUTION: A compound shown by the formula I (R1 and R2 are optionally substituted aryl or N,N-dialkylamino) is reacted with a compound shown by the formula II (R3 is R1 or heterocyclic ring) to give the desired compound shwon by the formula III (X is acid radical of acidic inorganic acid) including many novel compounds. The reaction is carried out in a nonpolar organic solvent (e.g., acetic anhydride, phosphoryl chloride, etc.) in the presence of a strong acidic inorganic acid (e.g., HClO4, sulfuric acid, etc.). Since the inorganic acid exhibits dehydrating action in concentrated state, it promotes ring formation reaction through dehydration, stabilizes formed thiadiazinium cation and deposits it in crystalline state. Both the raw materials are obtainable readily.
