Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate the taking-in-and-out of parcels in a compartment by a method wherein a rotatory means and a sliding means are mounted to a front parcel shelf for an automobile.
CONSTITUTION: When parcels are charged and discharged crossing over a seat back 33 of a rear seat in a compartment, a front parcel shelf 9 is swung in the arrow direction using a pin 13 as a fulcrum of swinging. In this case, there exists a front pin 22 for the sliding of a rear parcel shelf 10 at a rear section of a slide rail 16, but the rotation of the slide rail 16 with a plate-shaped body 14 of the front parcel shelf 9 is allowed because the front pin 22 for sliding is guided by means of a curved concave section 34. Thus, parcels can be charged and discharged under an extremely free condition even in the compartment by mounting a swinging means and a sliding means to the front parcel shelf 9.
