Abstract
PURPOSE:To grasp direct quantitatively the dynamic action of brush in a brush holder of an electric rotary machine by a method wherein pressure sensors are provided inside the brush holder respectively at the upper parts and the lower parts of the inner wall in the rotational direction of the current collecting part and at the upper parts of the inner wall in the antirotational direction. CONSTITUTION:In a commutating device pressing a brush 2 against the aliding face of a commutator 1 with pressing springs 7, pressure sensors 9a-9f are equipped at the proper inside portions of a brush holder 3. The equipped portions are defined as the upper parts 8a, 8b and the lower parts 8c, 8d of the inner wall in the rotational direction of the commutator 1, and the upper parts 8e, 8f of the inner wall in the antirotational direction. By this way, the dynamic action of the brush 2 in the brush holder 3 can be grasped direct quantitatively, chattering phenomenon, etc., can be detected and the most suitable design of the brush device conforming to the specification can be performed.
