Abstract

PURPOSE: To enlarge the usage of a clock by giving functions of a integrating clock and a stop-watch counting to a digital indication clock indicating four figures.

CONSTITUTION: To the outside of an large-scale integrated circuit 1 with a frequency divider 2, the second counter 3, a minute counter 4, an hour counter 5 and control circuits therefor built therein are connected a source of signal, such as a crystal oscillator, a time indicating part 13 and a shifting switch circuit SW. While a switch B selects a contact T, the clock is in the normal state thereof. Furthermore, the switch B is shifted to a minute-second indication through selective connection thereof, thereby the position of the minute is indicated by a normal hour-position indicating figure, while the position of the second is indicated by the minute-position indicating figure. Accordingly, the stop-watch counting function whereby the counting of time is started from the zero second, held at a desired time and then reset again to the zero can be given and thereby the usage of the four-figure indicating clock can be enlarged.
