Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent decline of functions of locking and angular positional regulation owing to wear of parts, by adjusting a meshing force of an indexing lever with a master gear and adjusting a locking force of a locking steel ball against a frame of a table. CONSTITUTION:According to the action of an operation gear 23, a ratchet 25 is meshed or disengaged with the master gear 15 to rotate the table by a prescribed angle. A clamping member 33 is inserted between and engaged with a locking steel ball 39 and a roll 49 at one end of the indexing lever 45 for anglar positional regulation so as to perform the angular positional regulation of the table 3 and the locking of the table 3. So as to adjust the space between the roll 49 and the steel ball 39 to adjust the clamping force of the clamping member 33, a set ring 13 is adjusted to move a clamping ring 9 to a shaft portion 5 thereby to move a tapered seat 10 axially so that the steel ball is displaced radially to vary the space of it with the roll 49.
