Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the curving of the guide rail of an electromagnetic brake mechanism for stopping the movement of a movable member slidable on the guide rail, by connecting a plurality of electromagnets to each other as a chain to manufacture the movable member.
CONSTITUTION: A guide rail 1, which is secured on a ceiling or the like, is provided with slits 2 which extend in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail and are opposed to a floor. A movable member 3 is slidably housed in the guide rail 1. The movable member 3 is made of plural electromagnets 3a which are connected to each other as a chain by pins 3c. A conveyed body such as a medical machine is hung from one of the electromagnets 3a forming the movable member 3. To brake the conveyed body after it is moved to a prescribed place along the guide rail 1, the electromagnets 3a are energized so that they are attracted on the guide rail 1. According to this constitution, the movable member 3 can be moved on the curved guide rail 1.
