Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a repetitive frequency that is an integer greater than an external input trigger, by building a dividing circuit avaible for division in dividing ratio in a pulse generator. CONSTITUTION:External trigger 1 is waveform-shaped and amplified by trigger shaping circuit 2, the output of which is input to dividing circuit 10 and terminal (b) of trigger selection switch 4. Under the control of division control circuit 9, circuit 10 is set to a desired dividing ratio and its output is input to terminal (c) of switch 4. Circuit 9, having an incorporated repetitive frequency (PRF) setter serving as a division setting switch, outputs PRF setting signal 8 for setting PRF of oscillation-frequency-variable internal trigger generating circuit 3. The output of circuit 3 is let to terminal (a) of switch 4. Through switch 4, one of terminal (a) for an internal trigger mode, (b) for an external trigger mode and (c) for a division mode is selected and a trigger signal in selected mode is output to terminal 7 via pulse shaping circuit 5.
