Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct a color shift of a subordinate-picture-inserted television without using a delay line, by independently providing a wrietable-readable luminance-signal memory and color-difference signal memory. CONSTITUTION:Writing clock generators 36 and 41 and reading clock generators 37 and 42 of luminance-signal field memories 34 and 35 and color-difference signal field memories 39 and 40 are provided independently. Then, the timing for writing or reading luminance signals and color difference signals in and out of mermories is properly set so as to correct an apparent color shift. Namely, the 1st manner makes correction before the writing operation of memories and luminance signals and color differnce signals are read out simultaneously. The 2nd manner writes luminance signals and color difference signals and corrections are made in writing and reading operations. In either manner, the delay time can be corrected, so that the color shift can be corrected without using any delay line.
