Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the sheet carrying device compact and long life by a method wherein a structure is made so as to carry a sheet being held between a carrier roller and a guide member.
CONSTITUTION: The sheet carrying device 14 consists of a carrier roller 18 fixed to a supporting shaft 17 and a guide member 19 touched to the peripheral surface of a carrier roller 18. The outer peripheral part of the carrier roller 18 is made of elastic foamed material. A sheet exhaust system 12 is structured with a switching guide plate 13, a sheet carrier system 14 and a paper exhaust tray 15. The switching guide plate 13 is supported so as to be able to rotate around a pivot 16 and when a jam of form is generated, the guide plate 13 is rotated to the two dot chain line to carry a form to the arrow mark direction. Thus, form advances into a space between the carrier roller 18 and the guide member 19, thus, being held between these, form is exhausted into a paper exhaust tray 15.
