Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause both mobile beams installed in a furnace to each independently or associatedly operate so that they make a role as a buffer zone in a hot-rolling line and at the same time to effect the charge and discharge of an object being heated without causing a collision between both of the beams.
CONSTITUTION: When driving both mobile beams 7a, 7b each independently, a cylinder 13 releases coupling of both of the beams 7a, 7b. The beam 7b at the side of discharge is driven by an eccentric ring 11b and a cylinder 12b, so that an object being heated placed on the beam 7b is moved toward the discharge exit 3. The beam 7a at the side of charging is separated from the range where the beam 7b moves, is driven by a cylinder 12a and an eccentric ring 11a, so that the object being heated is charged into the furnace 1, independently of the beam 7b. When both the beams 7a, 7b are associated, the cylinder 13 is housed in, so that both the beams approach each other and are simultaneously actuated by the operations of the cylinder 12a or 12b and the ring 11a, 11b, thereby sequentially mounting the object to be heated from the beam 7a onto the beam 7b.
