Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition, capable of protecting a bituminous film from ultraviolet light etc. on coating the bituminous film formed on a steel pipe etc., and comprising calcium hydroxide, an alkali metal chloride, a water-soluble resin, a nonionic emulsifier, etc. in a specific proportion.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 10W50wt%, preferably 20W30wt% a composition consisting of calcium hydroxide and/or calcium oxide mainly, e.g. slaked lime, quick lime or white cement, (B) 0.1W5wt%, preferably 1W2wt%, an alkali metal chloride, preferably common salt, (C) 0.5W15wt%, preferably 2W7wt%, a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin, e.g. PVA or an alkali-modified alkyd resin, (D) 0.01W3wt%, preferably 0.05W1wt%, a nonionic emulsifier, preferably polyoxyethylene nonyl phenyl ether, and (E) the rest water.
EFFECT: Improved film strength and water and weather resistance.
